I am deeply saddened to inform you that Mr Mendonca, our English teacher and Deputy Headmaster, is no more. I received the following message from his son Philip Mendonca on 11th February 2021. I informed all our members by email immediately. We have since received numerous messages of condolences which I have passed on to Philip.

Dear Jayant
I am very sorry to inform you that Dad passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon. He was 95 years old and until October last year was able to walk on his own. He was affectionately known as Frank or Frankie to his family and friends. Eastleigh Secondary School was such an important part of his life. He was so delighted when former pupils made contact and talked to him about the good old days, and that joy was felt by the whole family.

Mr Mendonca leaves behind his wife Lilia; two sons Philip and Frederick; two daughters Melanie and Marina and 9 grandchildren. We pray to Almighty God to give the Mendonca family the strength and fortitude to overcome your grief.
